Dr. Minadeo opened the Mt. Pleasant Surgical Center in 1997 to provide safe, high-quality out-patient ophthalmological surgical care at a lower cost than that available at regional medical centers. Dr. Minadeo developed the surgery center in collaboration with his office staff as well as the Physicians Resource Group, Inc. (PRG), the nation's leading provider of physician practice management services for ophthalmic and optometric practices.

Mt. Pleasant Surgical Center is located at 2009 North Jefferson Street in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The largest hospital in the service area -- Titus Regional Medical Center, a JCAHO-accredited, 165-bed acute care facility -- is located adjacent to the Surgical Center. TRMC has a full range of medical specialists on staff who are available in case of emergency with a Surgical Center patient as well as the paramedic-staffed Emergency Medical Services.
